    Bidding frenzy on ebay AU

    There's a bidding frenzy going on at ebay Australia for these 511B'a and 808-8A's.
    Looks like I got mine at the right time ... when they were still affordable!

    Remember the 'aircraft quality' restoration A7s discussed peviously on this forum? Well they were again relisted. Went for $AU2350 last week.

    An Altec 1591A Compressor Limiter sold this week for $AU670.

    There's a lot of Altec in Australia. Altec components are such good quality, they just keep being recycled from one collector to another !

    That's so true.

    I think it's the 808s Alnico that is driving this sale, not the horns, IMHO.

    Plus we are closer to SE Asia shipping wise.

    But if you check the bid history it was only 2 bidders who essentially got into a bidding war
